Personal Identity

An mid-process iteration of the entire form. I loved being able to produce something feminine, formal, and calligraphic for my personal mark. I had long known I wanted to use my favored Baskerville with a watercolored effect I produced first by literally painting it, and then cleaning it up and coverting it to a 50-shade vector for my name. Combining the R and the B proved to be difficult and took my hours of doodles, stretching and manipulating the letterforms, and eventually loosening up (something I always challenge myself to do in the creative world). Letting myself get loose and expressive with a calligraphic pen I started to see the shapes come together and am pleased to have landed on this identity set for this season of my career! I am always looking to better refine and create and view the completion of this stage of my personal marks as a designer a victory. It combines modern minimal elements of continuous line with form and traditional letter shapes and calligraphic fluctuations of weight and I couldn't be more pleased to have found a base point for my identity.

As always, comments and feedback are always  welcome!
